At GMU.org, our mission is simple: to make college life a little less confusing and a lot more manageable.
Dorm hacks, budgeting tips, or real talk about student life, every piece of content we publish is rooted in real experiences and created with fellow students in mind.
Who Writes Our Content
All articles are written by GMU.org co-founders Emily Parker and Sofia Rivera, current students at George Mason University.
We share advice based on what we’ve lived through-our wins, fails, and everything in between. We don’t outsource content or use AI to generate posts. Every word comes from our own laptops (and our own late-night study sessions).
Our Editorial Values
- Authenticity: If we haven’t tried it, we won’t recommend it. All tips and resources are things we’d actually use ourselves.
- Clarity: We keep our posts bite-sized and jargon-free so you can get answers quickly and move on with your day.
- Accuracy: While we aren’t professionals or counselors, we double-check facts and link to trustworthy sources when needed.
- No Fluff: We respect your time. Our content is always aimed at helping you solve real student problems.
Updates and Corrections
We periodically review older posts to keep them accurate and relevant. If we ever make a mistake or if something changes, we’ll update the post and make it clear what’s been revised.
